SPIN meeting 2/2010

Our meeting has two main topics:
- Presentation of Taimi model, developed by Haaga-Helia applied sciences university (amk). Taimi is an agile modeling tool. With Taimi you can model both processes and projects to be followed e.g. developing software. You can model any other processes with Taimi, too. In Taimi tool there is a process model, Taimi VSE, as a roadmap to start with. The model is a matrix with tasks placed in co-ordinates named e.g. iterations and disciplines. A task is a kind of best practice with templates or other guidance. Tasks can be copied to other processes or projects or several times in one if needed as well. When visualizing your own process as it is now and when it transforms it can be copied and modified in an agile way to the project or process wanted.Taimi is suitable for small entities offering an flexible and handy way to generate, share and improve knowledge in an organization.
- Sharing of positive and negative/failure SPI experiences. All participants should present one such case from their own organization or from personal working experience. Of course, all our discussions will remain confidential, but you can still hide some information about your lessons as you need. Last time we heard slide-based presentations from Space Systems Finland and Fujitsu services, and experiences also from other participants.
Of course, some time is reserved for open discussion between participants, as usual. We keep SPIN as an open and interactive forum for our members!
