FiSMA SPIN (Software Process Improvement Network) meeting:

This time we have got a key note speaker from Japan prof Noriko Tokumaru, who does research collaboration with Finland e.g. with the AgiES project. He introduses his research area on his LinkedIn pages as follows (some additional info about prof. Tokumaru at the end):

I have engaged in innovation studies field, putting emphasis on international comparison and field-based research.
Currently I have the following three projects.
(1) Comparative institutional analysis of innovation systems: Japan and Finland in the global context.
(2) Capability building in Indian and Chinese ICT industry.
(3) Comparative analysis of the management of knowledge workers and their work: Japan, China and Korea.

About Prof Tokumaru:
Dr. Econ. Norio Tokumaru is Associate Professor with the Nagoya Institute of Technology, Graduate School of Engineering, Department of Techno-Business Administration since 2010. He received the Ph.D. degree in economics, Kyoto University, Japan in 2004, with his thesis titled: Co- evolution of Technology and Economic Organization: Accumulation and Utilization of Technological Capability. His research interests include innovation studies, comparative institutional analysis of innovation systems, and theory of the firm. He has over 40 publications. Dr. Tokumaru has received several grants. He has worked as Research Fellow, Economic Research Center, Graduate School of Economics, Nagoya University; Associate Professor, Faculty of Economics, Nagoya University of Commerce and Business, Japan; and Research Fellow, Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences.
